First Dumpster

I got this dumpster about a month ago and it is now completely full. I am ordering a new dumpster later in the week

Garbage

When I went to move the mattress in the back of the bedroom I discovered that the previous tenants had repeatedly crapped on the mattress and the box springs. These people had a very interesting lifestyle

Third bedroom

The previous tenants apparently decided it was tough to watch porn with no power so they had to become creative. This room has been dubbed the "Spank It" room

Second Bedroom

I am hoping to convert this into an upstairs bathroom and make a downstairs bedroom so it will be a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home.

Master Bedroom

It is tough to tell but it is a decent size bedroom with a walk in closet.

Stairs

Perfectly safe

Living Room Mold Issue

The mold seems to be located in the living room, dining room and bathroom

Living Room

I have taken the garbage out of here since taking this picture and discovered a little bit of black mold

Bathroom

Might need to be cleaned up a bit...and I also found that the septic pipe has a giant hole in it. I am currently just peeing in my shed behind the house

Dining Room

We found out their was a fire in the kitchen at some point and the ceiling fan in the dining room may have gotten slightly wet while they were trying to put it out. Either that or it is just the world's saddest ceiling fan

Kitchen

A lovely eat in kitchen just missing a window, plumbing, electricity....

Let the games begin...

So on October 5th I went to the St. Lawrence County Tax Sale and bought a house sight unseen for $5,500. In retrospect I should have probably looked at the house before bidding but the yuppie couple who bid on it were running up the bids on properties all day and I thought I would return the favor. After being outbid on properties all day I was in a state of shock when I finally got the winning bid especially since it was on a house I had never seen. After walking through my new "house" I decided that I was definitely in for an adventure. The house is at the end of a dead end road across the street from a paper mill and a railroad repair yard. My plan is to fix up the place and sell it but I pretty much have no clue what I am doing when it comes to home repair so comedy is likely to ensue.
