I managed to rip up the disgusting blue carpet and it looked like the sub floor was plywood. Naturally like an idiot I got excited about how easy the floor came up only to discover that what I thought was plywood was only a thin layer of veneer glued on top of a layer of disgusting pulpy substance on top of plank flooring. At least the house is consistent in the way that it shits on my hopes and dreams
